Righteousness

 

"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled." people seem to skip the "righteousness" part! What is the hunger and thirst for? Righteousness. It isn't for more of God or for more of His presence. The good news is that Jesus already answered this prayer! "They shall be FILLED"! Jesus knew that the ones who were hungering for righteousness were hugely happy; ...

because he was about to go to the cross and FILL their hunger and satisfy their thirst! He looked ahead at the cross and fortold the answer. Essentially Jesus was saying: 

 

"Hey all you that are hungering and thirsting for righteousness, don't worry about it, you guys are gonna be hugely happy because I am gonna take care of that righteousness thing. Don't worry daddy's gonna fill it. It's gonna be alright, it's gonna be okay."  - *MLT

 

Jesus has made a way for all to be righteous! Not by our own efforts or merits! God forbid!!! Jesus single handedly destroyed and wiped out sin! He didn't just wipe away your sins, he wiped out your sin nature! Now you are the righteousness of God! You are prone to righteousness. Romans 6! You aren't a sinner any more. You are a righteous saint! Believe it and you will manifest it! I agree with Jesus! The none believer that hungers and thirsts for righteousness is blessed! Because they will be filled!

 

"For in Him (Jesus) the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, and YOU have been FILLED in Him, who is the head of all rule and authority." - Colossians 2:9-10 *ESV

 

Righteousness is a person and you have been filled with Him! As for the Believer: you don't need to Hunger and Thirst for righteousness anymore! GOOD NEWS: Jesus has filled us!

The River

There's an eternal River as bright as a crystal flowing from the throne and of the Lamb. Spilling right out of the Lord's side.

Revelation chapter 22 verses 1(English Standard Version)
 "Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb."

This inexhaustible river of pleasure is not a thing, a virtue, an element or an individual separate gift from God, rather it is God Himself. Speaking of Holy Spirit Jesus boldly declared that out of our heart's would flow rivers of living water! The river is Holy Spirit. From the throne (Father) of the Lamb (Son) flows a river (Holy Spirit). And The River of God is full. (Psalm 65:9) We see a clear picture of the triune nature of God in this passage of Scripture. King David spoke of this same threefold reality in Psalm chapter 36 verses 8 and 9.

"They feast on the Abundance of Your House, (Father) and You give them drink from the river of Your delights. (Holy Spirit) For with you is the fountain of life; in your light do we see light. (Son)"

The river of pleasure is God. And you have been placed in the eternal river of life and pleasure.You aren't a little glass that gets filled, emptied and filled again with some substance of power. You have been filled to overflowing with God Himself. Colossians Chapter 2 verses 9 and 10:

"For in Him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, and you have been filled with Him, who is the head of all rule and authority."

How do you know that you've been placed into the river of pleasure? Let's explore this river some more and destroy some self effort theology.  In Exodus 17 we see a prophetic shadow and type of Christ, when Moses was commanded by God to strike the Rock with his staff and water would come out of it so the people could drink. Who is a rock but the Lord? The Father was pleased to strike His Son on the cross. Isaiah 53 states He (Jesus) was stuck down by God. Christ's torn flesh opened up forever the river of pleasure to humanity. The veil was ripped open at the Cross of Christ. God has complete access to His kids! His prize and reward! No more tarrying for the free gift of Holy Spirit!

 John 14:16-18 (New King James Version)
"And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever - the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; But you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you." 

Holy Spirit abides with us forever. Christ saved us single handed and the Father is very jealous for His Son's sacrifice. (Isaiah 63:1-6) For two thousand years there has been an eternal river flowing from Christ's pierced side! You have an endless river flowing out of your belly! As Isaiah 55 proclaims "Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk with out money and without price!" You have a bottomless credit in Christ! Start believing it and you'll manifest it! None of your praying, fasting, hoops and charismania can get you more of Holy Spirit! (Galatians 3:1-5) Holy Spirit is a gift to be received like a child. You already have God in full! You can't get anymore than you already have. The river comes from one source and one source alone; The Rock! He gives you drink by His own hand. He placed you in the river of life! And He alone turned your heart of burning sand into a river of gladness! Wherever you go you carry an outpouring in your belly! You are drink for the thirsty in this world!
